Dr.Arch. Caterina Gargari
Young researcher at the Technology of Architecture and Design department in Florence; LCA consultant in the building sector since 2004; acknowledged national expert on LCA of building materials and a permanent member of the CEN (European Committee for Standardization) TC 350 “Sustainability of Construction Works” working groups since 2006.
Her research work focuses on sustainable design, the assessment of energy performances and environmental impact of buildings and building materials. She began her research activities in 2001, as partner in several V FP EU projects on environmental design, energy saving and energy efficiency of buildings, use of renewable energy, with particular reference to design in a Mediterranean climate.
Prof. Giovanni Zannoni
Associate Professor at the University of Ferrara. Member of the teaching staff of the international PhD in “Architecture Technology”. Expert in the field of materials and technical components of the building, with particular regard to housing envelope and leading experts at national level on materials and techniques for top closure of the building.
Scientific Director of research institutions (CNR, MPI and MURST); UNI (Italian Standardization Body ) committee member; technical Adviser of the Ministry of Health (National Institute of Health) for the National Plan for Radon.
Author of over 200 publications, books and manuals, two patents, articles and essays on national and international journals.
Dr.Arch. Marco Bortoloni
Research fellow in 2012, he worked with Prof. M. Bottarelli (Facolty of Architecture, University of Ferrara) on the numerical study of the performance of ground heat exchangers coupled with Ground-Source Heat Pumps (GSHP). Ph.D. “Industrial Engineering” at University of Ferrara with a thesis on design criteria for GSHP systems coupled with shallow ground heat exchangers.
